MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Participants should be able to swim at least to the proficiency of the Canadian Red Cross "Aqua 6":

- put on a life jacket (PFD) in deep water

- stay in the fetal position for one minute

- stay above the water for one minute

- swim 15 metres crawl, and 20 metres backstroke

(All Bantams/Peewees/Atoms must wear approved PFD for on-water activity).

The applicant can cannot meet these requirements.

f accepted, I understand that my fees are non-refundable and that I agree to abide by the rules and regulations of the club, the constitution, and its by-laws and that membership is granted only after approval by the BBCC Executive.

In consideration of the above applicant becoming a member of the Balmy Beach Canoe Club the Undersigned** hereby releases and discharges the said Balmy Beach Canoe Club, the Balmy Beach Club, and the Board of Management of the Balmy Beach Park Commission, its Directors, its Staff, its Agents and other people authorized by the Balmy Beach Club, from all claims, causes of action, suits and all manner of actions from any injury to persons or property however caused, that the Undersigned or the Undersigned’s Heirs, Executors, Administrators or assigns, may have.

** Upon acceptance of this application hand written signatures will be required to complete the registration process.

ATTENTION PARENTS:

Our sprint canoe/kayak program can only operate with help from volunteers. Registration fees cover approximately 30% of program cost.

Please understand that by enrolling yourself or your children you are agreeing to volunteer your time.
