Dragon Boat Training at Ashbridges Bay

updated July 23, 2006

Need some training time for  your corporate, high school or community team?

We offer competitive rate and an easily accessible setting at Ashbridges Bay.

The Dragon Boat Program is divided into two segments.

Piranhas – Beach Dragon Boat Crew

The Piranhas-Beach crew is designed to meet the needs of the Club’s most serious dragon boat athletes with the highest degree of paddling experience whose objective is to qualify for the World Club Crew Championships and other international regattas. Paddlers will attend sport regattas and festivals in
Canada and perhaps internationally. Goal setting is stressed and reviewed regularly, with emphasis placed on skill development, technique and personal fitness. Paddlers attend three to six practices a week  on a year-round basis, with practices held weeknights on Monday and Wednesday as well as on Saturday mornings. Paddlers will train primarily in a dragon boat but will make extensive use of war canoe and singles boats.
